The Willamette Valley Men's Center is located in the scenic grass seed farmland in the rural community of Shedd, Oregon. This program is a 501(c)3 non-profit faith based program for men who are 18 years or older, whose lives are being destroyed by life controlling problems.
The staff of Teen Challenge mentors students daily during their twelve-month stay. Through daily Bible study, prayer, and personal accountability, our students are encouraged to apply the truths of God's Word to their thoughts and actions in everyday life.
The men's one-year residential program is split into two parts; Phase III: Induction, and Phase IV: Training.
Phase III: Induction – 3 months: The first three months of the men’s residential program are spent in the induction phase. This beginning of the discipleship process involves Bible study and character development. Individuals are provided opportunities to develop new habits and attitudes.
Phase IV: Training – 9 months: Upon graduation from Phase III, the student is ready to start the nine-month training portion of the program. Phase IV strengthens Biblically-based moral standards and attitudes in commitment, daily living, honesty, responsibility, respect and establishing good work habits. Wholesome relationships with family, the local church, and the community are stressed.
All students adhere to a structured daily schedule that includes group sessions, recreation activities, chapel, classes and work assignments both on and off campus. Students are not allowed to be employed at outside jobs, as all of their attention is focused on the program.
